Microplastics have contaminated society and scientists begin to find evidence of this in human cells. Due to this the first plastic baby was born - Ken. He was born 70% plastic. Throughout his childhood he fought to live a normal life but as time progressed he only became more plastic, losing the ability to express emotion. By adulthood Ken was 100 percent plastic which nullified the affects of ageing. Over time the world began to catch up. Biological humans became extinct due to ageing and left in their place was ageless dolls.

The story plays on the need for the world to react to microplastics in the environment and the human desire and visual need to stay forever young.
